... anything but an artist.  Could've picked in the dirt - objective gold.  Could've sowed seeds and reaped real rewards to the rhythms of the earth sun and moon.  Could've set sail whenever the wind blew and to wherever it blew.  Could've contemplated existence without the complications of compulsion.  Could've turned away from it all.  But could not have been anything but....
